Facilities and Resources
Students of the School of Travel Industry Management have access to many resources and facilities that help to enrich their studies and gives them access to broader multi-media learning opportunities. The School has been housed in George Hall, a Historic Hawaii Foundation Preservation Award-winning building, since 1986. Some of the TIM School facilities include:
- The Sunset Reference Center (SRC) offers a unique collection of travel and tourism-related material which supplements literature at the University's main library. It also serves as a resource center for the Asia-Pacific region. The SRC has the largest specialized collection of tourism literature and research information in Hawaii with more than 12,000 items which includes books, reports, statistical publications, and subscriptions to more than 150 periodicals.
- The School's state-of-the-art multimedia computer training facility, the Gee Technology Learning Center, is a unique resource in travel industry higher education that provides a platform for the School to deliver high-quality programs, both on-campus and by distance, for the travel industry. The Center includes an executive videoconferencing suite for worldwide connectivity to education and research opportunities.
