As a knowledge creation organization, the TIM School accepts its responsibility to disseminate information in an effective and equitable manner. The School’s Sunset Reference Center is a well-recognized and important resource that serves students and the Hawaii community. As the leading travel industry management academic unit in Asia and the Pacific, the School has a responsibility to provide a wide range of audiences (students, government officials, private sector members, and the general public) with access to current, timely information. This information is crucial if responsible tourism, leading to enhancement of host communities, is to be achieved. To expand its capacities, the School is developing an ambitious knowledge management portal to provide access to School and University resources.
