Facilities and Resources
Students of the School of Travel Industry
Management have access to many resources and facilities that help to enrich
their studies and gives them access to broader multi-media learning
opportunities. The School has been housed in George Hall, a Historic Hawaii
Foundation Preservation Award-winning building, since 1986. Some of the TIM
School facilities include:
- The
Sunset Reference Center (SRC) offers a unique collection
of travel and tourism-related material which supplements literature at the
University's main library. It also serves as a resource center for the
Asia-Pacific region. The SRC has the largest specialized collection of tourism
literature and research information in Hawaii with more than 12,000 items
which includes books, reports, statistical publications, and subscriptions to
more than 150 periodicals.
- The School's multimedia computer training
facility, the
Gee Technology Learning Center, is a unique
resource which provides a platform for the School to deliver high-quality
programs, both on-campus and by distance. The Center includes an executive
videoconferencing suite for worldwide connectivity to education and research
opportunities.
