Legacy Banner

Now in it's 43rd year,
the School of Travel Industry Management (TIM) at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa is one of the world's most respected programs in hospitality, tourism, and transportation management. TIM International Inc. alumni association proudly represents the more than 4,000 graduates throughout the Pacific Rim and worldwide.

Each year, the TIM School and its alumni association pay tribute to distinguished individuals, who have made outstanding contributions to Hawai'i's tourism industry. In 2007, TIM teamed up with the Hawai'i Hospitality Hall of Fame, a volunteer organization of industry leaders, to honor twenty-five pioneers in Hawai'i tourism with recognition plaques in the Hawai'i Convention Center. This year, the tradition continues as we honor six more industry pioneers and induct them into the Hall of Fame.

The 2009 Honorees:

Alfred Apaka - Legendary Hawaiian Baritone, Hawaiian Village Hotel

Fred Dailey - Hotelier and Sportsman, Waikikian Hotel/Mokule'ia Polo Club

Stanley Kennedy. Jr. - Airline Executive, Hawaiian Airlines

Richard Kimball - Hotel Manager, Halekulani Hotel

Ruddy Tongg - Hawai'i Airline Founder and Entrepreneur, Aloha Airlines/Tongg Publishing Co.

Annalisa "Annalie" Tatibouet - Pioneer Hotel Developer, Royal Grove Hotel

In addition to these six honorees, TIM International Inc. Alumni Association will be honoring two of its own: a pair of TIM alumni who have excelled in a tourism career and have also supported the success of the TIM School and the community.
