Two TIM School professors won Best Paper Awards at the 2016 Academy of Global Hospitality and Tourism Conference (AGHTC) held in Seoul, South Korea, from May 20-23, 2016.
Assistant Professor Junwook Chi, Ph.D., won for his paper titled, “Exchange rate nonlinearity in the US inbound tourism demand from the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain: New evidence from partial decomposition models.” This is the second Best Paper Award that Dr. Chi has received this summer.
Assistant Professor Kwanglim Seo, Ph.D., also received a Best Paper Award for his paper titled, “Franchising and investment-cash flow sensitivities: An examination of the U.S. restaurant firms.”
Five papers received the Best Paper Award at the 2016 Academy of Global Hospitality and Tourism Conference with the TIM School winning two of the five awards! Dr. Chi’s and Dr. Seo’s papers will be published in the special conference issue of the Academy of Global Hospitality and Tourism Journal.
